ok so im white and i listen to a lot of rap because it sounds good and a lot of it is well written and i can appreciate most of it. anyway i never say the n-word because im white (duh) and i know its not mine to use, but a girl (white) told me today that me listening to rap is cultural appropriation and even though i dont say the n-word, im still "using it" and i dont understand what she means or if i should listen to her? can you help me out w/ this?

yo to be quite honest it sounds like that girl just learned the term cultural appropriation and is eager to get her social justice on but doesn’t exactly understand what she’s saying
