That’s always a weird, tough question for me. I pass as white to most people (questionably hispanic to a few), and I’m 50% white and 50% Belizean… so while I check white and hispanic on standardized tests I don’t feel like Belize/Central America is as representative of what “hispanic” usually means to people.
I usually just go with “mixed” and leave it at that because I don’t really know how to treat it. I accept and acknowledge the privilege that I hold from passing as white the vast majority of the time (at least I think it’s the vast majority? people ask me if I’m fluent in spanish a lot so I dunno what’s going on there but I’m pale nonetheless) but wouldn’t completely identify as white.
